ISLAMABAD: Information Technology aur Telecommunication ki Minister, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, ne National Assembly mein bataya ke FY 2023-24 mein Pakistan ki Telecommunications, Computer, aur Information Services ki remittances ne record $3.223 billion exports ka milestone achieve kiya.
Malik Shakir Bashir Awan ke sawal ka jawab dete hue unhone kaha ke Pakistan ke ICT sector mein 24% ka growth dekhne ko mila, jo $2.596 billion (FY 2022-23) se barh kar $3.223 billion tak pohanch gaya.
Aham Highlights:
Trade Surplus:
FY 2023-24 mein IT aur IT-enabled Services (ITeS) ka trade surplus $2.827 billion raha, jo pichle saal ke $2.297 billion se 22.31% zyada hai.
Services Exports Contribution:
ICT sector ne total service exports ka 41.29% contribute kiya, jab ke other business services $1.550 billion ke saath second position par rahe.
Workforce Development Initiatives:
DigiSkills.pk Program:
4.5 million se zyada enrollments freelancing courses mein hui hain, jo youth aur khaaskar khawateen ko global freelance markets mein empower kar rahi hain.
Advanced Certifications:
6,100 se zyada professionals AI, cybersecurity, aur cloud computing jaise technologies mein certified hue hain.
Academia Bridge Program:
1,600 graduates ko high-demand IT skills mein train kiya gaya hai.
IT Parks ke Projects:
Islamabad IT Park:
2025 tak complete hone wala ye project 7,500 naukriyan aur $70 million annual IT exports mein add karega.
Karachi IT Park:
2027 tak complete hone par ye 15,000 naukriyan aur $100 million annual IT exports mein contribute karega.
Ms. Shaza Fatima ne bataya ke freelancers ke liye 250 co-working centers 2027 tak establish honge, jo Pakistan ko global IT market mein ek mazboot position dene mein madad karenge.
