PAKISTAN FINALIZES $1 BILLION LOAN DEAL WITH MIDDLE EASTERN BANKS

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb ne confirm kiya hai ke Pakistan ne Middle East ke do banks ke sath $1 billion loan ke liye tamam shara’it finalize kar di hain. Ye loan mulk ki mali zarurat ko pura karne ke liye ek ahem qadam hai.

World Economic Forum ke annual meeting ke dauran ek interview mein Finance Minister ne bataya ke ye loan 6 se 7 percent interest rate par liya gaya hai. Agreement ke under do components shamil hain: ek bilateral loan aur doosra trade financing facility. Ye dono short-term hain aur sirf ek saal ke liye hain.

Finance Minister ne further bataya ke ye loan State Bank ke Governor Jameel Ahmed ke plan ka hissa hai, jo  Middle East ke commercial banks se total $4 billion ka hissa dilwane ke liye hai. Minister ne umeed jatayi ke Pakistan ki economic situation mein behtari hogi aur credit rating agencies ke sath milkar “B” rating hasil karne ki koshish ki ja rahi hai.

Unhon ne yeh bhi kaha ke financial year ke June mein khatam hone se pehle kuch zaruri steps liye jayenge jo rating improve karne mein madadgar honge.

Ye yaad rahe ke Pakistan ne IMF ke sath September mein $7 billion ka Extended Fund Facility (EFF) ka muahida sign kiya tha, jis ka pehla review February ke end mein hoga.

October mein Pakistan ne Resilience and Sustainability Trust (RST) ke tehat climate change initiatives ke liye aur $1 billion ki request ki thi. Finance Minister ne umeed jatayi ke ye funds agle 6 se 9 mahine mein mil sakte hain.
