Islamabad: Pakistan aur International Monetary Fund (IMF) ke darmyan doosray economic review par staff-level agreement abhi finalize nahi ho saka. Dono atraf mein flood losses ke andazay aur kuch economic factors par ikhtilafat barqarar hain.
Pakistani authorities ne 744 arab rupey ka flood loss estimate diya hai jab ke IMF ka andaza 585 arab rupey hai. Primary budget surplus, GDP growth, aur governance & corruption report par bhi raaye mukhtalif rahi. IMF ne Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) mein 300 arab rupey ki cut ka mutaliba kiya hai.
IMF ke mutabiq Pakistan ne loan programme ki conditions par “ahm taraqqi” ki hai, aur baqi masail par baatcheet jari rahegi. IMF ne fiscal discipline, flood affectees ki madad, aur strict monetary policy barqarar rakhne par zor diya.
Energy sector reforms, tariff adjustments, aur SOEs reforms par bhi agreement hua hai. Dono atraaf ne tax-free car import, baggage aur gift schemes khatam karne, jab ke Transfer of Residence scheme mazid sakht karne par ittifaq kiya.
IMF ne Grade 17–22 ke officers ke assets disclose karne, judicial transparency, aur annual reports publication ki bhi recommendation di. Sources ke mutabiq, GDP growth mein halka izafa tax-to-GDP ratio ko affect karega, aur FBR ko 11% revenue target hasil karne ke liye mazeed collection karni hogi.
