Government NEPRA se May ke bills mein fuel cost adjustments (FCAs) ke liye Rs. 2.94 per unit ka izafa karne ki ijaazat mang rahi hai.
Yeh izafa takreeban 46 percent zyada hai jo March mein Rs. 6.44 per unit tha. NEPRA is par faisla karne ke liye 26 April ko public hearing karegi.
Pichle kuch mahinon mein additional FCAs 50-115 percent zyada hue hain. Annual base tariff mein 26 percent aur quarterly tariff adjustment mein 10 percent izafa bhi hua.
March mein higher FCA ki wajah domestic coal aur gas ke prices mein izafa hai. LNG ke prices kuch kam hain aur exchange rate bhi stable raha.
CPPA ki report ke mutabiq March mein asal fuel cost Rs. 9.38 per unit thi, jabke reference fuel cost Rs. 6.44 per unit thi. March 2024 mein power generation 10.4% kam thi, jiski wajah se higher capacity charges hone ka imkaan hai.
