Mari Energies Ltd. (MARI) ne apni subsidiary Mari Minerals (Pvt.) Limited (MariMinerals) ke zariye Sanjrani Mining Company (Pvt.) Limited (SMC) ke sath ek badi deal finalize kar li hai. Is agreement ke mutabiq, MariMinerals 87.5% working interest aur operatorship hasil karega multiple mineral exploration licenses ka, jo ke Chaghi, Baluchistan ke ilaqe mein mojood hain. Yeh MariMinerals ka doosra bara acquisition hai, jo dikhata hai ke company Pakistan ke natural oil aur gas reserves ki decline ko dekhte hue naye minerals aur resources ko explore kar rahi hai.

🔹 Sanjrani Mining Company (SMC) Pakistan ki ek mashhoor mining company hai jo Sindh aur Baluchistan mein minerals ka exploration aur extraction karti hai. Iske major projects mein Sadiq Sanjrani Coal Mine (Hyderabad), Sanjrani Coal Mine (Larkana), Iron Ore Mine (Saindak), Siah Diq project aur Lead Mine (Washaab) shamil hain.
🔹 MariMinerals ka doosra acquisition – Pehle January 2025 mein company ne Siahkoh Mining Development (SMC-Private) Limited (SMD) ke sath deal ki thi aur Kohesultan Mining Company (Pvt.) Limited ka 5% stake acquire kiya tha. Iske ilawa, July 2024 mein bhi company ko do naye exploration licenses mile thay.
🔹 MARI ka aggressive expansion yeh batata hai ke Baluchistan ka yeh ilaqa copper aur gold reserves ke lehaz se bohot potential rakhta hai. Yeh waise bhi Reko Diq ka home hai, jo duniya ka sab se bara undeveloped gold-copper deposit mana jata hai.
🔹 Pehle bhi MARI mining sector mein enter kar chuka hai – Lucky Cement ke sponsors YB Pakistan aur Liberty Mills ke sath milkar National Resources Ltd. (NRL) ke zariye Reko Diq develop karne ki koshish ki thi. Magar 2021 mein license cancel kar diya gaya aur baad mein yeh Barrick Gold aur Pakistan ke state-owned E&P companies ko mil gaya.
Company ki Diversification Strategy:
MARI sirf mining tak limited nahi, balke yeh cloud computing aur data centers mein bhi investment kar raha hai. Q2FY25 mein company ne PKR 10 billion ka bara investment cloud computing operations ke liye kiya. Magar, mining aur Bannu West field par ongoing investments ki wajah se company ke dividends cut hone ka bhi andesha hai.
