IPPs REPAYMENTS REACH 1800 BILLION RUPEES, ENERGY SECTOR CIRCULAR DEBT HITS 2310 BILLION RUPEES: MINISTRY OF FINANCE CONCERNED OVER DELAYED PAYMENTS

Nuclear Power Plant Emsland cooling tower and electricity pylons (Lower Saxony, Germany) — The Emsland Nuclear Power Plant (KKE) is located near Lingen in the Emsland district, Lower Saxony/ Germany (built 1988). It is one of three still working nuclear power stations in Germany (also: Isar 2 and Neckwarwestheim). According German Atomic Energy Act 2011, Emsland nuclear power plant will be shut down by December 31, 2022. Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and the energy crisis, German big political discussion about continue using the remaining three nuclear power stations in Germany, currently until at least the end of 2023 or longer.

Ministry of Finance ke mutabiq, IPPs ki Repayments ab 1800 Billion rupe tak pohanch gayi hain, jab ke Energy sector ka circular debt 2310 Billion rupe ki satah tak barh gaya hai.

Ministry of Finance ke zariye bataya gaya hai ke IPPs ko repayments mein takheer karne se energy ki pedawar mein kami ka khauf hai aur repayments mein takheer se late payments surcharge hone ka bhi khauf hai.

Sources ke mutabiq, IPPs ko repayments ke liye taqreeban 140 billion rupe is week jari kiye jaane ka imkan hai.

Ministry of Finance ke mutabiq Energy sector ka circular debt bhi 2310 billion rupe ki satah tak pohanch chuka hai.
