GOVERNMENT SETS AMBITIOUS GOAL: SLASHES PUBLIC DEBT TARGET BY 21% FOR FY24-25

Government ne fiscal year 2024-25 ke liye apne public debt ki adaigi ka hadaf 21% kam kar diya hai. Yeh raqam is saal ke Rs. 24.08 trillion ke muqable mein 21 % kam hai.

Government FY25 mein Rs. 12.51 trillion T-bills ke zariye jama karne ka irada rakhti hai. Aane wale saal mein koi Sukuk bonds launch nahi honge, jabke prize bond ki adaigi Rs. 8.99 billion hogi.

Permanent domestic debt ke liye adaigi ka hadaf agle saal Rs. 6.53 trillion rakha gaya hai. Is mein Rs. 5.18 trillion Pakistan Investment Bonds (PIBs) aur Rs. 203.63 billion non-banking PIBs ke liye hain. Ijara Sukuk (Islamic bonds) ki adaigi Rs. 752.53 billion tak barhne ki umeed hai jo ke FY24 mein Rs. 274.69 billion thi.

3 saal ke Pakistan Banao Certificates ke liye koi adaigi nahi hai kyun ke woh pichle fiscal year mein mature ho gaye the, magar 5 saal ke certificates ke liye Rs. 2.88 billion ada kiye jayenge. Foreign exchange bearer certificates, foreign currency bearer certificates, US dollar bearer certificates, aur Special US dollar bonds ke repayments mein thoda izafa hua hai.

National Saving Schemes (NSS) ke liye repayment ka hadaf Rs. 1.6 trillion aur provident fund disbursements ke liye Rs. 77.88 billion rakha gaya hai FY25 ke liye. 

Defence Savings Certificates, Special Saving Certificates (registered), Special Saving Accounts, Regular Income Certificates, Pensionary Benefits, aur Behbood Savings Certificates mein kafi cuts kiye gaye hain. Shouhda Welfare Account aur Sarwa Islamic Saving Accounts mein thodi increment hogi.

Federal Government ne mukhtalif deposits aur funds ke zariye Rs. 135.71 billion kharch karne ka plan banaya hai state departments aur employees ke liye, jis mein Rs. 2.15 billion federal employees’ benevolent fund aur group insurance fund ke liye aur Rs. 9.89 billion defence ministry employee benefits ke liye hain.

Pak PWD spending ka hadaf Rs. 55.04 billion rakha gaya hai, jabke Workers Welfare Fund ke liye Rs. 25 billion allocate kiye gaye hain. Universal Service Fund (USF) spending Rs. 10.96 billion tak hogi jo ke telecom companies ki courtesy hai.
