Islamabad: Government ne tax me kami ka maamla International Monetary Fund (IMF) ke samne rakhne ka faisla kar liya hai, taake tankhah-daar aur corporate sector ke liye propose ki gayi tax relief recommendations par amal ka rasta saaf ho sake.
Yeh hidayat Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ne us waqt di jab Income Tax Reforms Panel ne 975 arab rupay ke bari relief package ki recommendations PM ko pesh ki. Panel ne tankhah-daar tabqay par 25% tax burden kam karne, income tax surcharge khatam karne aur overseas assets par lagne wala Capital Value Tax wapas lene ki tajweez di.
Zarae ke mutabiq, in recommendations me se 600 arab rupay se zyada ka immediate fiscal impact ho sakta hai, lekin hukumat IMF program ke tahet sirf wohi qadam uthayegi jise IMF ki manzoori hasil ho.
Committee Tashkeel
PM Office ke mutabiq, Prime Minister ne Wazir-e-Khazana Muhammad Aurangzeb ki sarbarahi me ek committee bana di hai jo recommendations ko actionable road map me tabdeel karegi. Committee me Shehzad Saleem aur Minister of State for Finance Bilal Kiani bhi shamil honge.
Tax Reforms Panel ki Key Recommendations
Meeting me ijma tha ke sabse pehle woh taxes khatam kiye jayen jo business community ke nazdeek “ghair-munsifana” hain, jin me shamil hain:
- Super Tax
- Minimum Income Tax
- Corporate Dividend Tax
- Sindh Infrastructure Cess
- Punjab Cess
- Exporters par Advance Income Tax
- Workers Welfare & Participation Tax
Panel ke mutabiq:
- Tanakhah-daar tabqay ko 120 arab rupay ka relief milega
- Super Tax khatam karne se corporate sector ko 190 arab rupay ka faida
- Corporate Tax rate ko 25% karne se 170 arab rupay ka relief
Minimum tax aur dusre levies ke khatmay se bhi bari raqam me relief muqsad hai.
Business Climate & Government Stance
Ijlas me bataya gaya ke business community tax machinery ka “aasan nishana” ban chuki hai. Super tax aur dividend tax ka khatma aur corporate tax me kami economic revival ke liye zaroori samjhi ja rahi hai.
PM ne kaha ke hukumat export-led growth ke liye practical qadam utha rahi hai aur tax filers aur businesses ko “qadar ki nigah” se dekhti hai, kyun ke mazboot businesses hi mulki tax revenue barhate hain.
