Islamabad: Federal Hakoomat ne steel sector mein sales tax chori rokne ke liye mukami tor par tayar ki jane wali steel products ki minimum Value of Supply dobara tay kar di hai.
Is hawalay se Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) ne ba-zaabita naya notification jari kar diya hai.
Notification ke mutabiq, mukami satah par tayar hone wali tamam steel products par sales tax ab nayi mukarrar shuda value par wasool kiya jayega.
FBR ne 17 October 2024 ko jari shuda pichla notification 1636(I)/2024 ko mansookh karte hue naya notification 2402(I)/2025 jari kiya hai. Yeh notification Sales Tax Act 1990 ke Section 2, Sub-Section 46 ke tehat haasil ikhtiyarat ke mutabiq jari hua.
Naye notification mein wazahat ki gayi hai ke:
- Steel Bar aur dusri long steel products ki minimum qeemat woh hogi jo Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi aur Islamabad ki average retail price ke taur par har mah publish karega۔
- Iss average retail price mein se Rs. 1500 per metric ton kam kiya jayega aur yahi value sales tax ke taayun ke liye istemal hogi۔
Is ke ilawa:
- Steel Billets ki minimum qeemat: Steel Bar price ka 85%
- Steel Ingots/Bilaa ki minimum qeemat: Steel Bar price ka 80%
- Ship Plates ki minimum qeemat: Steel Bar ki average price ka 75%
Yeh tamam rates Sales Tax Act ke Section 3(1) ke tehat lagne wale ad valorem sales tax ke taayun ke liye istemal honge۔
Hakoomat ka kehna hai ke naya pricing system steel sector mein tax transparency behtar karega, sales tax chori ko rokega aur qoumi revenue mein izafa ka sabab banega۔
