ISLAMABAD: Pakistan ki Government ne commercial, agricultural aur large consumers ke liye bijli ke rate mein bara izafa approve kar diya hai.
Federal cabinet ne commercial consumers ke liye bijli ke rate mein Rs8.04 per unit ka izafa approve kiya hai, jis se per unit rate July se Rs77.15 ho jayega. Agricultural consumers ke liye Rs6.62 per unit izafa kiya gaya hai aur July se unka rate Rs46.83 per unit ho jayega. Industrial consumers ka basic tariff barabar rahega. General services ke liye bhi Rs6.98 per unit izafa kiya gaya hai, jis se unka rate Rs61.03 per unit ho jayega. Non-protected consumers ke liye Rs5.51 per unit izafa kiya gaya hai aur unka rate Rs59.96 per unit ho jayega.
Dusri taraf, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ne domestic consumers ke liye 50 billion rupees ka relief package announce kiya hai. Jo consumers mahine mein 200 units tak bijli istemal karte hain unke liye agle teen mahine tak koi izafa nahi hoga. Ye relief July, August aur September tak milega aur is se 25 million domestic consumers faida utha sakte hain. Is package ke tehat per unit cost 4 se 7 rupees hogi aur K-Electric consumers bhi eligible honge.
