ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) ne kaha hai ke Telenor Pakistan aur Orion Towers ke acquisition ke hawale se ek aham regulatory milestone complete ho gaya hai.
Company ke mutabiq, 14 December 2023 ko PTCL ne Telenor Pakistan BV ke saath Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) sign kiya tha, jis ke tehat Telenor Pakistan (Private) Limited aur Orion Towers (Private) Limited ka 100% share capital acquisition kiya jaana tha. Yeh tamām process corporate approvals, regulatory clearances, aur relevant agreements ke completion par mabni hai.
PTCL ne bataya:
- Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) ne 30 November 2025 ko Change of Control (COC) ka conditional approval de diya tha.
- PTCL ne tamam conditions ko unconditionally accept kar liya, jis ke baad PTA ne 06 December 2025 ko No Objection Certificate (NOC) issue kar diya hai.
- Iss NOC ke baad PTCL ko Telenor Pakistan aur Orion Towers mein substantial ownership interest rakhne ki ijazat mil gayi hai.
Company ne wazeh kiya ke abhi bhi Transaction ka final closing baqi hai, jo other corporate approvals, formalities aur zaroori agreements/instruments ke sign hone par mukammal hogi.
