Pakistan mein illicit cigarette trade aur unlawful manufacturing ka masla qaim hai, jo har saal taqreeban Rs 250-300 billion ka nuksan kar raha hai. Is challenge ko samajhte hue, Prime Minister ne clear directions jaari kiye ke illegal cigarette trade ko roka jaye aur tax laws ko sakhti se enforce kiya jaye.
In orders ke tehat, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) ne ek comprehensive enforcement plan tayar kiya, jis me non-duty-paid cigarette production khatam karna, monitoring mazboot karna, aur illegal supply chains disrupt karna shamil hai.
Is national effort mein Pakistan Army aur Pakistan Rangers ka bhi support shamil hai, jahan 120 Rangers personnel Green Leaf Threshing units mein deployed kiye gaye taake premises secure kiye ja saken. FBR ne saath hi 200 monitors bhi tainat kiye under Section 40B of Sales Tax Act aur Section 45 of Federal Excise Act taake tax compliance ensure ho.

- Mardan, KP: Directorate of I&I-IR Peshawar ne 03.11.2025 ko undeclared godown raid kiya aur 200 cartons non-duty paid cigarettes recover kiye (Brands: Business Class, Red, Crown). Machinery ko 29.11.2025 ko seal kar diya gaya.
- Souvenir Tobacco Company: Similar action 29.11.2025 ko, illegal cigarettes banane aur remove karne par machinery seal.
Raids ke dauran aur baad mein, officers ko armed resistance ka samna karna para, including company directors, lekin FBR ki enforcement team ne pressure ke bawajood action complete kiya, national revenue aur rule of law ko protect karte hue.
Ye actions demonstrate karte hain ke Pakistan government aur FBR illegal tobacco trade ke khilaf zero tolerance policy par amal kar rahe hain.
