Islamabad: According to Bloomberg, Pakistan Petroleum Ltd. (PPL), jo ke aik state-owned energy company hai, samundar se zameen reclaim karke aik artificial island bana rahi hai jiska maqsad Sindh ke southern coast ke offshore oil aur gas exploration ko tez karna hai.
Island takriban 30 kilometers coast se door hoga, PPL ke General Manager Exploration aur Core Business Development, Arshad Palekar, ne Islamabad mein aik oil aur gas conference ke dauran bataya. Island ka height 6 feet rakha gaya hai taake high tides ke bawajood 24/7 exploration kaam ruk na jaye.
Ye initiative US President Donald Trump ke July mein Pakistan ke “massive oil reserves” ka zikr karne ke baad Pakistan ke offshore drilling efforts mein nai momentum lata hai. Is ke baad Pakistan ne offshore exploration licenses PPL, Mari Energies Ltd., aur Prime International Oil and Gas Co. ko allocate kiye.
Palekar ne kaha ke ye project Pakistan ka pehla artificial island drilling ke liye hai, jo Abu Dhabi ke successful offshore platforms se inspired hai. Construction February 2026 tak complete hone ki ummeed hai aur uske baad operation turant shuru ho jayega. Company ka plan hai ke takriban 25 wells drill kiye jayenge.

06 – OGRA NE IMPORTED RLNG KI PRICE MEIN IZAFA KARNE KA ELAN KAR DIYA
Islamabad: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) ne maah November ke liye imported RLNG ki prices ka taayun kar diya hai.
OGRA ke elaan ke mutabiq, Sui Southern aur Sui Northern ke liye imported RLNG ki keemat October ke muqable mein nominal barh gai hai.
- Sui Northern ke liye RLNG ki price 16 cents barhakar $12.39 per MMBTU kar di gayi hai. October mein ye price $12.23 per MMBTU thi.
- Sui Southern ke liye RLNG ki price 22 cents barhakar $11.45 per MMBTU kar di gayi hai. October mein ye price $11.23 per MMBTU thi.
OGRA ka kehna hai ke ye adjustment imported RLNG ki market rates aur supply costs ke mutabiq ki gayi hai.
