Karachi: Mari Energies Limited (MariEnergies) ko Directorate General of Petroleum Concessions (DGPC) ne 23 naye offshore exploration blocks ka provisional award de diya hai. In mein se 18 blocks MariEnergies ko Operator ke tor par, jabke 5 blocks joint venture partner ke tor par milay hain.
Ye blocks Pakistan E&P Offshore Bid Round 2025 (October) ke dauran competitive bidding ke zariye diye gaye, jahan mukhtalif exploration & production companies ne apne work units ke basis par bids di thi.
MariEnergies ne in projects ke liye kai bari national aur international companies ke sath partnership ki hai, jin mein Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company (TPOC), Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), Prime Global Energies, United Energy Pakistan (UEP), Orient Petroleum Inc (OPI) aur Fatima Petroleum Company Limited (FPCL) shamil hain.
Company ko Indus Offshore aur Makran Offshore basins mein blocks milay hain, jin mein se Makran basin ke 10 ultra-deep blocks MariEnergies ko 100% ownership ke sath diye gaye hain.
Official statement ke mutabiq, petroleum rights ka final award tabhi hoga jab:
- Petroleum Exploration Licenses grant kiye jayenge aur Production Sharing Agreements Government ke sath sign honge,
- JV partners ke darmiyan Joint Operating Agreements execute honge, aur
- Tamam legal aur procedural formalities mukammal ki jayengi.
Mari Energies ne kaha ke ye acquisition company ke long-term growth aur Pakistan ke energy security goals ka aham hissa hai.
