Jeddah: Islamic Republic of Pakistan aur Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ne corruption aur money laundering ke khilaf ta’awun mazboot karne ke liye ek ahm MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) sign kar liya hai.
Ye MoU Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) ke President Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous aur National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Pakistan ke Chairman Lt. General (Rtd) Nazir Ahmed ne sign kiya. Ye signing ceremony Asset Recovery Interagency Network for MENA region ke inaugural session ke dauran Jeddah mein hui, jo 8–9 October 2025 tak jaari rahega.
Is MoU ke tehat dono agencies corruption aur money laundering se related information exchange karengi aur asset tracing aur recovery of stolen assets par mil kar kaam karengi. Dono mulkon ne mutual legal assistance (MLA) ke field mein bhi cooperation barhane aur technical support share karne par ittifaq kiya hai.
Is moqe par Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous ne NAB ki global anti-corruption drive mein kirdar aur 6.4 trillion Pakistani rupees (23 billion USD) ki unprecedented recoveries ko saraha. Unhone Chairman NAB ka MENA ARIN forum mein address bhi tareef ke qabil qarar diya, jahan unhon ne corruption ke global challenges par roshni dali.
Lt. General (Rtd) Nazir Ahmed ne Saudi leadership ke anti-corruption initiatives ko khush-aamad kaha aur recent defence agreement ko dono mulkon ke bhai-charey aur ta’awun ka mazid saboot qarar diya.
Unhon ne President Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous ko Pakistan daawat di taake dono mulkon ke darmiyan ta’awun aur bhai-charey ke rishte aur mazboot kiye ja saken.
