Lahore: Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) ne Fiscal Year 2025–26 ke pehle quarter mein Rs. 66.41 billion tax revenue collect karke shandar performance dikhai hai jo pichle saal ke Rs. 51.98 billion ke muqable mein 28% izafa hai.
Iske ilawa, Rs. 1.7 billion Punjab Infrastructure Development Cess ke zariye collect kiye gaye. PRA ke spokesperson ke mutabiq, ye growth baghair naye taxes lagaye ya tax rates barhaye hasil ki gayi hai.
PRA ne unregistered service providers ke khilaf crackdown bhi shuru kar diya hai taake tax net ko barhaya ja sake. Enforcement teams ko field surveys aur unregistered businesses ko notice jari karne ke liye mobilize kiya gaya hai.
Naye reforms ke tahat ek user-friendly online registration system introduce kiya gaya hai jis se business community ko asani ho. Tamam service providers ko ab apne businesses ko E-IMS system se link karna aur monthly sales tax returns time par file karna zaroori hai.
Jo businesses is mahine ke end tak register nahi karenge, un par penalties aur legal action liya jayega. PRA ka ongoing campaign revenue collection barhane, tax base widen karne, aur Punjab ki economy mein transparency aur documentation promote karne ka aim rakhta hai.
