GOVERNOR SBP: EXTERNAL POSITION IMPROVED, CURRENT ACCOUNT DEFICIT EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 0.5% TO 1.5% OF GDP
Governor State Bank of Pakistan Ne Naye Monetary Policy Ka Elaan Kiya: Aglay Do Maah Tak Sood Barqarar, 22 Percent Interest Pe Qaim Rahega.
State Bank of Pakistan ke Governor Jameel Ahmed ne kaha ke aakhri monetary policy statement ke mutabiq, domestic economic conditions behtar hogaye hain. Current account deficit mein kami hui hai, or ummeed hai ke deficit GDP ke 0.5 se 1.5 percent ke aspaas rahega.
Governor ne kaha ke December mein current account deficit GDP ke 0.7 percent tha, jo pichle saal is doran ke mukable 4.6 percent se kam hai.
Fiscal year ke liye inflation ko pehle ke 20-22 percent ke recommendations se 23-25 percent mein revise kiya gaya hai.
September 2025 mein inflation ka objective 5-7 percent hai, jo ke pehle June 2025 mein haasil hone ki expectation he.
December mein inflation 29 percent tha, lekin January ke liye isay kam kiya jayega. March se inflation mein fast decline anay ki expectation hai.
Governor ne kaha ke hamari expectation hai ke GDP ka increaase FY24 mein 2 se 3 percent ke darmiyan rahega.
