Islamabad: SIFC ki hidayat ke mutabiq Power Division ne electricity ke naye tariff design ka proposal Finance Minister ke paas bhej dia hai. Yeh step recent tariff ke system ko tez karne ke liye IMF se manzoori hasil karne ke liye lia gaya he.
Recent tariff se economic improvement hone ke alawa koi faida nahi hora, 98% domestic consumers ko 631 Billion rupees ki subsidy milti hai, jis mein Goverment ka hissa 158 billion rupees ka hai. Baqi industrial, commercial, and high-level consumers bhi apne hisse ko bardasht kar rahe hain.
SIFC Commission Secretariat aur Ministry of power ke senior authorities ne bataya hai ke SIFC Commission ki Apex Committee ne 3 January 2024 ko aik meeting hui, jisme Power Division ke senior authorities ko yeh hidayat di gayi thi ke woh electricity ke tariff ke system ko is tarah se design karen ke Pakistan ki economic activities mazeed faster ho saken.
