Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) ki recent information ke mutabiq, Oct’23 mein textile exports mein 6% YoY increase hua aur ab ye US$1.4bn par pahuncha, pichle saal is doran ye US$1.3bn tha. Is increase ka bara hissa global demand mein regular increase ke result me hua hai.
Value-added textile products jaise Bedwear aur towels ki exports mein -2% YoY ka increase hua, jo ke Oct’23 mein US$0.98bn tak pahuncha. Basic textile (Cotton Yarn jaisa) ne -25% YoY increase ke sath US$0.3bn tak increase kiya, jabke dusre textile exports bhi ~2% YoY increase ke sath Oct’23 mein US$0.17bn tak pahunch gaye hain.
Overall textile exports mein volumetric increase ka bara hissa basic textile ka hai, jo ke ~75% YoY increase ke sath aaya, jabke value-added aur dusre textile products ne 31% aur 23% YoY increase kiya.
Value added mein 8% MoM increase hua, Oct’23 mein value-added ka volumetric increase 5% MoM ka tha. Keemat mein 2.6% ka increase ke sath overall MoM increase 8% ka tha aur ye ab US$0.98bn par hai. Is increase ka bara hissa towels ka raha, jo ke 11% increase dikhaya. Isi tarah, knitwear, bedwear, aur readymade garments mein bhi 7%, 5%, aur 9% ka increase hua.
Basic textile mein 4% MoM decline hua, jis mein volumetric decline 2% thi, keemat mein 2% decline ke sath Sep’23 mein USD$283mn par pahuncha. Basic textile exports ki decline mein cotton cloth aur cotton yarn ki exports mein 2% aur 19% decline ka bara hissa tha.
