IMF Projects 2.5% GDP Growth for Pakistan in FY24, Rebounding from Negative Growth in 2023

“World Economic Outlook 2023, Navigating Global Divergences” ki report kay mutabiq, IMF ne Pakistan ke GDP growth rate ko 2.5% tajwez kiya hai 2024 ke liye, jabke 2023 ke liye isay negative 0.5% tajwez kiya gaya hai.

Current account balance ko 2024 ke liye negative 1.8% ke sath tajwez kiya gaya hai, jabke 2023 ke liye isay negative 0.7% tajwez kiya gaya hai.

Is dauran, IMF ne Pakistan mein be-rozgar ki kami ko 2024 mein 8% par gira dene ka tajwez diya hai, jabke 2023 mein yeh 8.5% tha.

Is report ke mutabiq, 2024 ke liye 23.6% tak mehngai (inflation) ki tajwez di gayi hai, jo ke 2023 mein 29.2% thi, report mein zikr hai.

IMF ne Pakistan ke general government net lending/borrowing ko 2024 ke liye negative 7.6% tajwez kiya hai, jabke 2023 mein yeh negative 8.1% tha.

Is report mein State Bank of Pakistan ko saraha gaya hai, aur yeh kehne wala hai ke yeh tijarat ki policies mein sudhar ka acha namuna hai. Is mein shamil hai Pakistan aur Uruguay ke central banks ke qadmon ke pehle hi qaiyum tijarat policy meetings ka calendar announce karne ke qadmon.

IMF ke mutabiq, global growth 2022 mein 3.5% se kam hokar 2023 mein 3.0% aur 2024 mein 2.9% par kam hone ka tajwez hai.

IMF ke mutabiq, Stronger economic coutnries 2022 mein 2.6% se kam hokar 2023 mein 1.5% aur 2024 mein 1.4% par kam hone ke imkanat hain. 

IMF ke mutabiq, America mein mazeed se zyada behtareen growth ki umeed hai, lekin Eurpeon Area mein kamzor growth ki umeed hai.
