Primary Dealers ko State Bank of Pakistan se time to time auctions of Government securities ke bidding mein participate karna hota hai Government securities ko non-PD Banks and other retail/institutional clients ko distribute karna hota hai; investors ko awareness provide karke; liquidity and turnover enhance karne ke liye secondary market development mein active role play karna hota hai aur Government securities ke investor base ko jagah de kar, Government securities ko market maker ke accordingly two way prices quote karke kaam karna hota hai.
Primary auctions aur secondary market trading mein efficient participation ke liye physical equipment and skilled manpower dono ki infrastructure ko continuously upgrade karna hota hai and apne customers ke liye (Investors Portfolio of Securities Accounts) government securities ki holdings, collection and payment of profit and maturity ke transactions ko right way me manage karna hota hai.
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) ne Central Bank ke rules mein laid down criteria ke according all applicants ki evaluation ke baad advice di hai ke Fiscal Year 2023-24 ke liye primary dealer role ke liye in institutions ko select kia gaya hai, as specified below
